A true teacher does not inculcate students to replicate the teacher, but instead inspires students to discover their own greatness and bring it forth. While staying at a hotel, I signed up for wireless Internet service. To my disappointment, the service kept going on and off. A call to tech support did not help much. As Mark recounted this story, I recognized the distinction between a doctor and a healer. A doctor treats symptoms. A healer treats the soul. Mark’s commitment to the well-being of his nephew and his wife went far beyond fixing the man’s body. His intention was to soothe their souls.
