You will sometimes meet someone you believe is a soul mate; you feel the connection on many levels, perhaps instantly. And as you get to know each other more, you begin to feel the connection deepen and you feel that you must have an arrangement with this person that predated this lifetime.
Do not assume, however, that this soul connection necessarily means that you are meant to be happily together for this lifetime. It may be that you are meant to be friends and allies, helping each other out. It may be that you are going to help each other in ways that even involve conflict and separation, but with an end result that is beneficial to you. It may be that you are going to learn some lesson from each other and then go your separate ways.
This morning we have a message from a power animal that I know well. I first met him years ago when I was doing power animal retrievals, then again more recently in my Power Animal Adventures. He is an enormous sperm whale known as The Ancient One; it is always so wonderful to hear from him. And is now our way, Quado has added a few words at the end of his message.
I have been living a double life since 1993. For most of my “spiritual” years, I have felt a conflict between these two sides of my life, a need to keep them separate, and a nagging feeling that I should be devoting myself completely to spiritual endeavors...
In the end, what you have is yourself, who you are in your core, the truth and integrity that are you. In the end, this is what you have.
Your success in the outside world can depend so heavily on the opinions and actions of others that you can become confused, believing that you make terrible mistakes, wondering if others like or respect you, wondering what you did wrong, in a state of perpetual worry that you are somehow not enough. And when this happens and all you feel is some distorted reflection of what you think others want from you, of what you think they expect from you in order for you to succeed, then you can lose your way and become nothing but a bundle of nerves.
I had the most interesting experience yesterday, while I was in the shower. I was suddenly transported to a world where there was no past. Literally. There was no past. It was very clear to me that what I have always thought of as the past was just a story that my mind had made up.
I want so much for you, for us, that we might reach a true connection to the light and love that is there for us. And for this very purpose, I am offering today a meditation that came to me during this last week.
Life goes through its different stages. And you never know exactly when a new stage will begin. One day you wake up and the old ways do not feel as comforting and warm as they once did. Things that you thought you would do for the rest of your life have suddenly lost their luster.
When this happens, allow it to be. Do not fight against the natural evolution of your life. Even if you have declared to others that this is the way you are, when the internal call comes to evolve to another stage, allow yourself to drop your old passions and dreams and take up new ones. It is not inconsistency or lack of commitment. It is part of a life that is freely evolving, as life should be.
After all, things are different now. You are different and the world around you has changed as well. It is perfectly natural that you would want to change how you spend your days.
