Life is not either/or. You do not have one choice or two. You have
many-petaled choices. When you were a child, you took a daisy, and you
said with each petal, "He loves me, he loves me not." You left out
other possibilities, that he likes you, that he makes you happy, that
you like him and you make him happy. Life is many-layered and not so
Beloved, you think of another long ago friend of yours from many long years ago. Your heart aches to talk to once more to this friend. You have no way of knowing if this long ago friend is still alive.
You may find yourself yearning for parts of your life’s past. Alternately, there are other parts of your life that you would undo from the face of the Earth if you could. Sure, you would keep the nice and exclude the hurtful, yet, in terms of life on Earth, who would you be then?
Life gives you second chances, and human hearts ache for revelations to be the way life used to be when you were young – barefoot and rosy-cheeked, life new and full of glory when you made leaps and bounds, and a surprise dawns, calling to you...
If you are an angel, it is good that you know you are an angel, for then you know your purpose. Then you know you are not on Earth for yourself alone. You are on Earth to do as angels do. What do angels do but serve?
