Be thankful this day and everyday to know who we are and who we are not in the process of life. Be thankful this day and everyday to bring clarity and acceptance to situations and people who open the Soul. Be thankful this day and everyday to remember our source of wisdom, allowing it shared and magnified with Self and others.

The thought of gratitude, when expressed pertains to an event that has already happened. For example, when someone opens a door for you, you  say "Thank You." or even when we survive a traumatic experience, gratitude is expressed because we made it through. 

When something shows up in our life, do we pause to appreciate it or do shrug it off because it's is know exactly what we want? Do we shrug it off because this is a fact we already know about self or something we don't want to hear? Think about why we turn something away.

Affirmation Definitions: We know what affirmations are, but do we know the different types of affirmations? I have come into the awareness of three variations of affirmations through meditation and practice.

What exactly is perspective? Is it objective or subjective, or both? Is is one’s opinion or a voice in your head? I my personal journey, perspective has taken on all these forms. Perspective is an energy that shifts into what it needs to be, when it needs to be.

Over the past year of my life, I lost my aunt and mom. My immediate family. I then met my biological father. I experienced both sadness and joy in such a short period. After a period of loss and gain, and being on a rollercoaster of emotion, the definition of family was reshaping.

Hillis Pugh > Thank You Thursday: Presence

Our presence is awareness of our whole-self. As beings, we are comprised of organic matter and pure energy. However, our organic bodies are just another form of energy. In essence we are just energy in its many forms. Our presence is the energy felt by self and others around us. The presence given off is related to the range of emotions felt, everything from love to fear. When we feel a heightened emotion from life or situation; our presence/energy changes to accommodate the shift.

Reminders serve a purpose to let us know who we truly are. Everyday we are reminded of some aspect of our life and personality, whether it is past or present. When we have a reminder surfacing from the past, it is to let know who we are and release who we are not. When we are in the present moment and then reminded of a situation, this serves to let us not to forget our fundamental teachings and practices. We go through each day being reminded or our progress as an individual and a collective humanity. So what triggers the reminders?

This self guided meditation is about releasing what no longer serves you, it’s a clearing of the older energy. We must clear the old to make room for the new.

What is internal commentary? Internal commentary is when we are having a conversation with our self. Well, at least this is what the brain projects.
