Lynda Hill > February 2017: Leo Lunar Eclipse

February’s Leo full Moon on 11th February (at 12:32 am GMT) is a appulse lunar eclipse. As an eclipse it is not particularly powerful, but it is a lunar eclipse nonetheless.

Lynda Hill > The Pyramids And The Sphinx: December's Sagittarius New Moon

December's Sagittarius new Moon falls on December 5 in the United States and December 6 in Australia. The Sabian Symbol for the new Moon is Sagittarius 14: A Vast Panorama Of Sand And Time Is Unfolding: The Pyramids And Sphinx In Their Glory Rise Before The Eye. This is a deep and complicated degree (as are most degrees!), and it infers things all the way from building edifices of spiritual practice all the way up to multi-level marketing, big business, exploitation of labor and people's time, energy and resources.

December's Sagittarius new Moon falls on December 2 in the United States and December 3 in Australia. This is bound to be a very interesting new Moon, with Uranus trining it, bringing the desire or a much-needed sense of freedom and creativity.

The Aries new Moon is quite an explosive, passionate and deeply intense one with some very interesting themes that can ignite, inspire and feed our impulses while, at the same time, teach us some interesting things about our selves and our lives and what it means to be human. Occurring on April 3 in the United States and April 4 in Australia, it's one heck of a doozy of an Aries new Moon with Mars, Lilith, Uranus, the Sun, the Moon, Jupiter and Mercury all in Aries.

June's full Moon in Sagittarius is an interesting one, and one that could be rather difficult to navigate. The few weeks leading up to it have been fairly gnarly and stressful for many and we are being tested along the path it seems, with some people being tested rather severely.

August's Virgo new Moon occurs on August 25 in the United States and August 26 in Australia. This is a very interesting new Moon in that it contains strong Saturnian and Neptunian energies

May's Taurus new Moon occurs on May 3 in Australia and May 2 in the United States. This new Moon has, again, a very strong Aries influence, with Uranus, the Black Moon Lilith, Venus, Mercury, Eris, Jupiter and Mars all in Aries. A ‘Porter’, otherwise known as a baggage handler or bellboy, has a lot of work to do. He is performing a service for others and here he is seen having ‘a Mountain of Heavy Baggage’ to move or ‘Carry’. He needs to remain cheerful and not reveal how much this ‘Mountainous’ load is weighing him down; otherwise he may not get the approval of those he is 'Carrying' the load for.

Lynda Hill > September's Virgo New Moon

September's new Moon falls on September 20, and, it's an interesting one. This is quite a Chironic new Moon, with Chiron (The Stories We Tell Ourselves) smack opposite it.

This new Moon in Pisces occurs on the 20th March. It is a major new Moon, the third Supermoon of the year, and, because of when it falls - smack on the Equinox -  and the fact that it is a total solar eclipse, it may just be the biggest new Moon of 2015.

May's Gemini new Moon occurs on May 21st and is a partial solar eclipse. Coming after the  last few Super Moons, this is a powerful eclipse that will have interesting and wonderful possibilities. From Wikipedia: It will be the first central eclipse of the 21st century in the continental USA, and also the first annular eclipse there since the solar eclipse of May 10, 1994 which was also the previous eclipse of this series Solar Saros 128.
