I've been looking a lot at the nature of relationships lately and I'm coming to some conclusions that I had not reached as firmly in the past as I am experiencing right now. So I am going to be explore this topic again here.
AS I HAVE SAID here in the past couple of entries, the views of humanity on so many things have been impacted by our ideas about God and about God’s desiresthat it’s hard to decide what other areas of life interaction to include on a list of them. Today we’re going to consider Sex and Homosexuality.
To begin with, God doesn’t “want us” to experience pain. God doesn’t “want” anything. God experiences GodSelf through us, and knows GodSelf anew in that way. God does not come from “wanting-ness,” but from Total “Havingness.”
There is so much going on around us in our world right now — all the violence, death, and destruction that we are hearing about every day — the release of the Mueller report here in the USA, and the main thing I want to get across is that, appearances sometimes to the contrary, everything is going to be all right.
In my life there has been no greater challenge than the challenge of relationships. I am speaking here now of romantic relationships, although all of my relationships—parental, familial, personal, business—have been a test for me from the very beginning.
We have been talking on and off here about the Path to Self-Awareness, and most recently about the Second Step on that path: Enlargement. This week I would like to take a look at how we may go about achieving Enlargement. One way, at least.
