Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve often stopped briefly and contemplated the gravity of the global pandemic we’re all currently facing, I find myself feeling dazed and confused on a daily basis at the bewildering speed of how things have moved and at how much everyday life has changed.
This year I’ve fallen apart. Everything I once held dear has been torn down and ripped away. My beliefs have been shattered, my sense of spiritual connection has disintegrated and turned to dust, and my physical self has crumbled with ill-health and disability.
As a new decade begins, it’s important to pause for a moment to look back at the decade we’ve just experienced. For a great many souls, this past decade has been one of the most transformative and enlightening ever, but for a great many more it has also been one of the most challenging.
February looks set to be a month of insight and inner knowing as the light of wisdom is turned within to reveal new truths and new depths. A great many of us are facing challenges at the current time leaving us feeling isolated and beleaguered, alone and disconnected.
Well, after the trials and tribulations of 2019, most of us are hoping for an opportunity for some good things to look forward to in 2020 as many of us have been put through the ringer physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I’m not sure if the words have, as yet, been invented to describe the current moment; there are highs and lows, there are jolts backwards and leaps forwards, there are upward shifts and downward falls. This goes way and beyond a fairground ride to a profound journey within, reaching deeply into the nooks and crannies of the soul.
