There is quite a profound sense of discord and discombobulation at the current time as many of us are still reaching deeply into the quieter moments, but many more are pulling hard in the other direction, trying to return to the normal we used to have.

Sarah-Jane Grace > Changing Seasons

Sometimes life feels broken and beyond repair, but it’s important to know that nothing is ever truly irreparable. In time, we can restore balance as we find ways to flourish and thrive despite the challenges we’ve faced.

As we continue to seek out truth and balance in our lives, there is a sense that many of us have reached deeply into the quieter moments in order to become more ‘at one’ with ourselves, each other and the world in which we live.

Watching the stormy seas crash over the rocks and the sea wall (from the safety of the café!) is both invigorating and enlivening. As the waves grow larger and larger, their power and force become clear as they toss large pebbles and pieces of driftwood...

It would be extremely challenging to write anything about the month ahead without acknowledging the current global pandemic. It would feel a little like I’m burying my head in the sand!

Sarah-Jane Grace > Cocooning

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve often stopped briefly and contemplated the gravity of the global pandemic we’re all currently facing, I find myself feeling dazed and confused on a daily basis at the bewildering speed of how things have moved and at how much everyday life has changed.

This year I’ve fallen apart. Everything I once held dear has been torn down and ripped away. My beliefs have been shattered, my sense of spiritual connection has disintegrated and turned to dust, and my physical self has crumbled with ill-health and disability.

Well, after the trials and tribulations of 2019, most of us are hoping for an opportunity for some good things to look forward to in 2020 as many of us have been put through the ringer physically, emotionally and spiritually.

There is so much pressure in modern living: unanswered emails banging on the door, a ‘read’ notification on a message implying the sender is being ignored if not immediately responded to and the constant noise and light all around. Creating some breathing space allows each of us to breathe more deeply into life and to step back from being caught up in the hamster wheel of keeping on keeping on so we can begin to see the bigger picture once again.

Sarah-Jane Grace > Time to Dance

Chaos in the soul is unsettling, but it is a vital part of our personal and spiritual evolution. Without chaos, there is no change, and without change, we cannot grow. Chaos can be frightening, but it can also be a friend. For it is through the chaos, that we find Truth and our sense of Self.
