It’s easy to look back at the ‘bigger picture’ of the year, to those experiences that have shaped and flavoured everything else, as it’s usually only a small - and often incongruent - selection of experiences that come together to define the essence of our lives.
Last year was undoubtedly the most challenging year of my life, so much so, it has taken me until now to process it and to find the courage to form the words to write about it. I had to face the depths of myself and, as if that wasn’t enough...
As the great big washing machine of life continues to spin, rinse, hum, whir and jiggy across the floor, there is a great deal of bewilderment, bemusement, perplexity and disorientation as we each try to make sense of the shifts and find a moment to take a breath.
So many of us are facing challenges at the current time and so many of us are feeling beleaguered and weary of pushing ahead as the storm batters against us and yet, despite the weariness, we carry on.
July looks set to be a month of continued release as we let go of more of the ‘stuff’ and clutter in our lives. We all have it; whether it’s physical clutter around the house, a cluttered laptop or a stuffed-up mind.
Sometimes the strangest things can trigger a memory. Some people find reading a book can trigger a domino-effect of memories, for others, it’s a single word or sentence. Others find it’s a film or a song.
At the current time though, there is a very tangible ‘gap’ in the chatter, and many of us have become deeply aware of this. As a result, so many are feeling this within and this is creating unrest and uncertainty, for such a gap gives each of us time to face the Truth of our Selves.
