What Lies Beneath?

Mercury stations retrograde in the 18th degree of Aquarius at 3:48 pm GMT on 21st January, one day after the Aquarian New Moon. The Sabian Symbol for this degree speaks of unmasking to reveal true motive and intent. There is nowhere to hide as Mercury journeys retrograde in the coming weeks.

People often ask me when the Age of Aquarius actually begins. It’s an interesting question and one which (in my humble opinion) does not have a definitive answer.

Venus entered Leo on 28th July 2019. Given the challenges of the eclipse season which ended on 29th July, this is something to celebrate! After much self-analysis and the illumination of some thorny issues, we can now relax into being who we are without apology or self-consciousness!

This solar eclipse in sensitive but nonetheless dynamic Cancer brings emotional healing in its wake. In response to a gnawing inner hunger it unleashes emotional and spiritual nourishment to those in need. Old ways of navigating this life may be falling short of late...

This Full Moon in Aquarius is poised to blow some old beliefs out of the water. With its ruler, Uranus, having turned retrograde on 11th August and now squaring Mercury, it illuminates how our mind works and the power it holds.

Sarah Varcas > June 2016 – April 2017: Eris Conjunct Uranus

9th June 2016 sees the first exact conjunction between Eris and Uranus in the 24th degree of Aries. In it we meet the untamed feminine: wild and radical, owned by no one, shaped by nothing and prepared to do what it takes to expose the enduring lies that diminish and debilitate humanity.

May 2018 heralds the next major astrological shift as Uranus, the planet of radical disruption and liberating change, begins its journey through Taurus, the sign of steadfastness and stability.

Today we encounter energies the likes of which we very rarely meet. You can read about the astrology of it here. This is a day of great power, enormous potential and invigorating influences.

Many will celebrate Saturn’s final departure from Scorpio. It’s been tough going. The combination of Saturn’s insistence that we assume responsibility for our lives and Scorpio’s demand that we embrace even the darkest and most difficult aspects of the self.

Today a Grand Trine in Water forms and remains with us for a couple of days. Created by the Moon in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, it encourages us to embrace the emotional aspects of our being, whilst recognising that they can sweep us away if we let them, distracting us from other things in need of our attention.
