The second half of October is characterised by dynamic, forthright energy which requires careful handling. As always, it’s our choice how we use it, but if we allow it to dictate the shape of things to come we may become embroiled in some unpleasant situations best avoided.

In the presence of Chiron we encounter the issue of healing. When retrograde, Chiron asks what it means to us, what we foresee when we contemplate personal healing and how we view those aspects of our self we consider in need of ‘repair’.

Sarah Varcas > Current Trends: End of September/ Beginning of October 2016

The second of three conjunctions between Uranus and Eris in Aries occurs on 25th September, with its impact reverberating through the coming months.

Conjunct retrograde Chiron and forming a T Square to Mars in Sagittarius, this is an emotionally energised eclipse with a cathartic edge.

Jupiter enters Libra on 9th September. Spending about a year in each sign, its entry into a new one signifies a shift in terms of how we make sense of the world and our experience within it.

This solar eclipse highlights the adventure of living in the material world whilst embracing the unseen realms of energy and essence. This is the path of the everyday mystic who lives in communion with the divine whilst scrubbing the floor and fingernails, paying bills, earning a wage and putting out the rubbish

Just as Mercury is about to enter the conciliatory world of Libra it’s brought up short by its retrograde station in the final degree of Virgo, reminding us there are still details we need to be clear on, facts requiring review and focused effort necessary before we can move ahead with current plans.

Sarah Varcas > 11th August 2015 – 9th September 2016: Jupiter in Virgo

During its stay in Virgo, Jupiter connects with the Moon’s North Node at a powerful Blue Moon in June 2016. Between now and then we have a precious opportunity to realign with the needs of our beautiful planet, just as she has met ours for millennia.

Occurring a day before the next eclipse season begins (19th August – 23rd September), this Full Moon is an ‘almost-but-not-quite’ lunar eclipse, giving it greater influence and a stronger ‘edge’ against which to hone our awareness.

Mars’s return to Sagittarius, where he resided between March and May this year, marks a turning point in the prevalent energies.
