The most important series of articles you may ever read. (Part 7)

My dear friends...

If we think that humanity is headed in the wrong direction — indeed, in a dangerous direction — the first thing we must do is marshall all of our communications resources to convince the largest number of us (and, of course, our leaders) that humanity has a problem.

The reason we are headed in such a dangerous direction is that, like ostriches, many humans have placed their heads in the sand, allowing them to argue that we don’t have that much of a problem, if people would just stop agitating to change things. But people are agitated for a reason. The fact is that none of the systems we have put into place to create a better life for all of us on this planet have produced the outcome for which they were designed.

It’s worse than that. They’ve actually produced exactly the opposite. And that’s the problem.

Our political systems — created to produce safety and security for the world’s people — have produced exactly the opposite: extensive disagreement and wholesale disarray.

Our economic systems — created to produce opportunity and sufficiency for all — have produced exactly the opposite: increasing poverty and massive economic inequality, with a handful of the world’s richest people holding more wealth than 3.5 billion...that’s half the planet’s population...combined.

Our ecological systems — created to help us produce a sustainable lifestyle — have been abused so much that they are now generating exactly the opposite: environmental disasters right and left.

Our educational systems — created to lift higher and higher the awareness level and the philosophical openness of the planet’s population — have produced exactly the opposite: a drop in global awareness and our sensitivity to each other that each year sinks our intellectual and philosophical common denominator lower and lower.

Our health care systems — created in hopes of making modern medical miracles available to an increasingly higher percentage of people — have produced exactly the opposite: doing little to eliminate inequality of access to the best medicines and health care services, and actually providing top level medical services each year to a lower percentage of the world’s people.

Our social systems — created to inspire the joy of community and sponsor harmony among a divergent population — have produced exactly the opposite: discordance, disparity, prejudice, and despair...and, far too often, plain and simple injustice.

And, saddest and most dysfunctional of all...our spiritual systems — created to produce a greater closeness to God, and so, to each other — have produced exactly the opposite: bitter righteousness, shocking intolerance, widespread anger, deep-seated hatred, and self-justified violence.

What gives here? What's going on with the human race that it cannot see itself even as it takes it head out of the sand and looks at itself? Where is humanity's blind spot?

Might it be time to ask: “Could there be something we don't fully understand here about Life, the understanding of which could change everything?”

That’s the key question. And that’s the question that Conversations with God: Book 4 ~ Awaken the Species puts before the house: Is it possible, just possible, that there is something we don’t fully understand here about ourselves, about Life...and yes, even about God...the understanding of which would change everything?

And what CWG suggests is that the answer is yes. Resoundingly, yes.

Love and Hugs,

Neale

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Edmund Burke

Feel free to replace the word "evil" with any word you like:
Unawareness
Chaos
Unhappiness
etc

Though these occurrences may not be evil, the above quote can be realized as true.
