In this month which you have set aside to honor mothers, know that you can honor yourself, whether or not you are having the experience in this lifetime as a mother, for truly, you are the creative mother.
Mother’s Day is a time for all of us - those of us who are still lucky enough to have our mothers with us, and those of us who have mothers in heaven - to honour our mothers. Don’t let this opportunity to acknowledge your mother, at least in a small way go past.
In honor of Mother’s Day I’d like to ask you a question: How good are you at mothering yourself? Many of us (including our mothers) never learned to nurture and care for ourselves in a consistent way. Instead, our fear of what others think, a desire to be loved and accepted, or the nagging sense of not being good enough caused many of us to fall into a pattern of self-neglect.
On this Mother’s Day weekend, I thought it would be a good time to share some thoughts about our moms. I had the profound realization yesterday that I had achieved my goal about my own mom, and my wish had come true. Needless to say, it was quite an emotional moment. The point being, that I love my mother and when she is gone I will miss her. It certainly wasn’t always this way…
Wow, what a powerful time! May 11, 2008, is Mother's Day. This is the day during which we express our deepest love and gratitude to our Mothers and to all of the Mothers throughout the world. This day will be empowered by the number eleven. Eleven is the master number that is encoded with the frequencies to change the physical into the Divine.
