Beyond Enlightenment

I was on vacation in New Zealand with my partner, Mary. One day, we were in a forest of ancient trees. The Presence all around us was overwhelming. We were filled with bliss and ecstasy at being so present with the trees. Then it occurred to me that the trees did not care about our bliss. They are just here. Eternal Silence. Eternal Presence. Then my bliss disappeared. It was as if I had disappeared. I became immersed in Oneness with the trees. I had become present in the way the trees were present. I had transcended my own enlightenment.

The limiting beliefs that formed in early childhood about yourself, others and life are programmed into your mind at an unconscious level, and define you and determine your experience of life. Until you awaken to a higher level of consciousness, there is no way to be watchful of yourself at the level of mind. The more you are watchful in a spirit of unconditional love and acceptance, the more you will be released from these limiting beliefs.

The fact that a feeling is arising is of the present moment, and so if you are to remain present, you will have to be present with the feeling. Often, the feelings will surface with a story from the past. Allow the story to emerge, but do not believe in it. If you get involved in the story you will be pulled out of Presence.

The closest you can get to the truth is to be fully present in the moment of now. The truth is this moment revealed.

As you awaken, your Presence radiates outwards touching every flower, tree and mountain and every distant star. It radiates inwards, caressing every cell in your body. It also radiates backwards through time, embracing, comforting and healing the child you once were. It radiates forwards, affecting and transforming your future. There is nothing you need to do. Just relax and be here now.

Presence will bring up whatever is unresolved, unhealed or incomplete within you. Just be present and pay attention to whatever arises for healing, completion and release.

The present moment never goes away. The present moment never gives up on you. It offers redemption moment to moment. If you were not present a moment ago, then how about now?
