An Ascension In Consciousness: September's Total Lunar Eclipse And The Super Galactic Center

You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. Mark Twain

Love and desire are the spirit’s wings to great deeds. Goethe

I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor. Henry David Thoreau

Scully: Another Bermuda Triangle?Mulder: It’s more like a wrinkle in time...The X-Files

He who has imagination without learning has wings but no feet. Horace

You see things as they are and ask ‘Why’? I dream things as they never were and ask ‘Why not’? George Bernard Shaw

And I said, oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest. The Bible—Psalm 55:6

September's full Moon is a total lunar eclipse and is the last in a series of tetrads - four eclipses in a row. Other eclipses in the tetrad are those of April 15, 2014October 8, 2014, and April 4, 2015. The moon will appear to be larger than normal as the moon will be just 59 minutes past its closest approach to Earth in 2015 at mid-eclipse. It's a big one and it will be visible over Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Europe and the Middle East are certainly feeling it, as, no doubt are Africa and the Americas. More here on this eclipse: click here.

Further to the eclipse, we have the Moon's north node, Lilith, Juno, the Sun, and soon, again, Mercury, going over the Super Galactic Center (SGC). This is a very powerful time, the Symbols of which speak about an ascension in consciousness. Many have talked about September 2015 being a time of ascension, and I have been listening. When I saw the Sabian Symbols for this period, it really made me sit up and listen :) Here's a link to more information on Mercury's sojourn forwards, backwards and then forwards again over the SGC. Click here to learn more about the SGC and the planetary movements across it that we are experiencing.

What an enormous time we are observing and experiencing, truly momentous and this total eclipse looks set to be adding to the story. Eclipses release energies that are with us for months. Some say nine months, and I know there is truth in that, however, it is clear that whatever grows out of this period is often felt for far longer than that. Events that happen now are seeds for the future, and, well, that can stretch into eternity... ! You can find out more information click here.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon.

This energy is even more super-charged at the time of a total lunar eclipse.

This lunar eclipse has some wonderful energies, supercharged, in fact. Adding to the mix are Lilith and Juno, both conjunct the Sun in Libra at this eclipse. This is something along the lines of

the 'wild woman' meets the idea of the inner marriage

(for one example), both bringing to light issues to do with the feminine. It speaks of the rise of the feminine and the need to not only acknowledge its power, but also to give it its rightful place in society. Both being on the SGC and conjunct the Sun and the Moon's node on this eclipse, we can feel a sense of a rebalancing of the scales.

Lilith is at Libra 4: A GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE SIT IN SPIRITUAL COMMUNION AROUND A CAMPFIRE - click here to learn more about Lilith.

Juno is conjunct the Sun on Libra 5: A PERSON TEACHING THE TRUE INNER KNOWLEDGE OF THE NEW WORLD TO THEIR STUDENTS - click here to learn more about Juno.

Adding to the idea of the feminine is Venus and Uranus in a trine. This can be a very freeing aspect and it can bring big realisations around issues to do with freedom, beauty, relationships, etc.

However, there is the Mars/Saturn square, bringing up some very strong male energies. This could result in frustrating reunions and religion, or the Church, or conservative values may be strained or forced. Political and religious situations are unfolding, especially in Europe, and some may not like the 'reunions'. Some, especially, I imagine, the refugees, will be separate from each other. Mars on Virgo 2: The Large White Cross squaring Saturn on Sagittarius 1: An Army Reunion, is likely to bring up hostilities. Hopefully, it will bring some events to a head for resolution. This feels very much a representation of the 'old guard'. There is likely to be some bumping of heads.

Mars and Saturn square can bring realisations where on is perhaps banging their head against a brick wall and solutions are now to be sought. This is made especially strong as Saturn is sextiling the Moon's north node and trining the south node. In other words, an alignment of energies can bring about solutions to even long standing problems, especially around relationships.

Further, Mercury and Pluto are in square aspect to each other. This can have people bumping heads, too. It can bring up obsessions and desires. On a very positive front, it can show us where we may need to be more passionate about our lives, or, we may feel a longing to connect deeply. We want, perhaps need, to have something that sets us alight with purpose and depth. Shallow responses and measures as not what this eclipse is about.

The Total Eclipse of the Moon is on Aries 5: A WHITE TRIANGLE IS SEEN; IT HAS GOLDEN WINGS

This Symbol shows the ability to be able to lift yourself above the ordinary, using your natural gifts to find a new perspective, an uplifted view; to expand your awareness. This can picture an eagerness for spiritual integration or a capacity to escape from reality. Try to ground the vision, while allowing yourself the free flight of vision. This Symbol often brings a strong spiritual nature that expresses itself through purity of thought and insight.

Keywords: Inspiration and zeal. Feeling elevated and inspired through spiritual or creative agencies. Flying to a greater perspective. Taking off. Purity of thought and expression. Angelic forms. Creative imagination. Self-transcendence. Finding new dimensions of experience. Illusions of sight. Visions. Untethered imaginations. Ascension. Ascended beings. Moths. Butterflies. Flying Machines.

The Caution: Not noticing your own down-to -earth needs or the needs of those around you. Losing the plot. Escapism. Forgetting about the requirements and desires of the body. Being ungrounded. The space cadet. Things that aren't based in reality.

The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy - yours and others.

This Symbol implies the gaining of wisdom and the passing on of knowledge to others who are receptive to the teachings. It can also show ‘channeling’ of pure instinctual knowledge. Whether you are a “Student” or a “Teacher”, information is available to you and others and there’s much to be learnt. The “True Inner Knowledge” may be conventional teachings or wisdom, although it’s more likely to be more modern concepts that are being passed on as this is about “The New World”. Insight, knowledge, and, experience are present. Conventional certifications of knowledge, such as diplomas, are probably not important; it's what's being brought through that's important.

Keywords: Guidance and protection on the path. Being a guiding light for others. Imparting knowledge. Wisdom. Looking for truth. Seeking answers to complicated questions. Listening and learning. Turning to others to receive guidance. Speaking one's truth. Instinctual knowledge. Pioneers on the path. Teachers and students. Secrets of the new age.

The Caution: Dogmatism. Feeling that one person has the only true answer. Feelings of being highly "evolved" and holding it over other people's heads. Arrogance. Evangelism. Telling others "how it is", regardless of how they feel. Gurus and cult dogma. The blind leading the blind.

Of course, there's this: Writing my newsletter, I was looking for a good graphic for Libra 5 - the degree of the Sun at this total lunar eclipse - and, I found this graphic to the right. It is hardly inspiring, but it has to be said that this is an apt description of what often passes for education in this world. Of course, we know it's not true education... it just shows how much stuff one can spew out from the things we've been fed.

The Sun symbolizes: One’s core centre, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy - yours and others.

symbols_mercury.jpg Mercury is on Libra 10: A CANOE IS APPROACHING SAFETY THROUGH DANGEROUS WATERS

This Symbol speaks of getting through difficult times in life and coming out the other side. It also infers being able to bring calm reassurance that a time of calm is approaching. The difficulties may have been arduous, but they've added to your experience to cope with any difficult times that are yet to come. The calm is a time to review what has past and how you've come through difficult straits. Realizing that you're on safe ground brings a sense of relief, and it will give you time to catch your breath. You may be the kind to go white water rafting in order to stir up your life somewhat; if there’s nothing whipping up around you, you may go looking for it.

Keywords: The calm after the storm. Navigating difficult straits and coming out okay. White water rafting. Skydiving and other risky activities. Rough waters vs. plain sailing. Recovery. Remission. Light at the end of the tunnel. Personal initiations. Trials of test and defeat. Being stoic. Retaining dignity and graciousness. Exercising care and restraint. Avoiding over exaggerated enthusiasm. Deliverance on many levels. Salvation. Staying on track.

The Caution: Neglecting to take a time to rest. Taking foolhardy risks, believing that all will be okay. Pre-empting situations without completing things in the present. Thinking that "lightning never strikes in the same place twice". Shooting more rapids. Freezing up and not moving.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals,

This Symbol shows situations of showing one’s talent, training, skills and bravery to others. The ‘Bareback has trained and practised for the performance and is up and ready to show their abilities to others. A sense of balance combined with timing is vitally important otherwise you could be thrown mid-way through your performance. Although you may believe passionately in what you are doing, you may put yourself at risk to present your abilities, skills and emotions boldly and skillfully. Done correctly, this will not doubt impress others most of the time, but be wary of running into the ring unrehearsed. Being well trained and fit and ready helps.

Keywords: Defying gravity. Controlling one's animal instincts. Courage and mastery over one's energies. Shows of strength. Situations where one might get "bucked". Rushing in where angels fear to tread. Being shown in the media. The allure of drama and danger. Life as a circus or carnival. Amazing displays of skill. Superheroes. Comic book characters. Impressing people with well-rehearsed skills.

The Caution: "Showing off", losing control and falling. Demanding attention. Looking for applause. Fooling with nature's energies. Arousing or controlling animal passions. Acting wildly and not thinking about the consequences.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

In the situation facing you, you may feel like you’re being treated like a scapegoat “hung out to dry”; punished for doing something or being different or special. Signposts and other expressions of faith have a powerful influence. Instead of having a “cross to bear’, we can work at realigning ourselves with our true desires and allegiances. This can lead to a stronger sense of purpose and spirituality, dissipating feelings of sacrifice, separation or loneliness. Believing that suffering is the way to salvation has significance for many, but what does it really mean? Don't sacrifice for others; you may not get much appreciation for doing it anyway.

Keywords: Religious ideals dominating. The fear or the wonder of God. Following a mystic path. The need to find a saviour. Being alone and forgotten. Monuments to pain and suffering. Tributes to or memories of those lost or gone before. Reminders of salvation. Images of redemption. The Church. Christianity and other religions. Martyrdom. The Inquisition.

The Caution: Aloneness and/or sacrifice or the yearning for it. Dogmatism. Scape-goating. Days in the wilderness alone. Religion dictating against one's desires or needs. Symbols that inspire guilt and anguish instead of love, acceptance and forgiveness. Institutions disregarding individual rights. Lording it over others. Bullying under the guise of religion. Imposing figures.

Mars symbolizes: : Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

symbols_jupiter.jpg Jupiter is on Virgo 11: A BOY MOULDED IN HIS MOTHER'S ASPIRATIONS

This Symbol implies having to live up to others’ expectations. It's fine to be moulded by people’s desires or by our parents, but often this does not reflect our true potential. The “Parent” often misses the truth of the offspring and may be projecting their own unlived life. Taking back one’s sense of individuality and going after what you really want will probably lead to more success in your life. Worrying about what others want, expect or think can lead to shallow choices or responses. On the other hand, this can show people being proud of what you have achieved and who you have grown into.

Keywords: Being directed on the journey or shaped against one's free will. Plastic or cosmetic surgery. Building the physical or emotional shape. Finding one's way or destiny. Predetermined destinies. Looking like one's mother or father. The challenge of individuality. DNA. Parents as patterns. Allowing others to dictate who you are. Inherited values. Following in the family's footsteps.

The Caution: Remaining tied to the apron strings of mother or others. Conforming to social expectations. Not having a clear sense of what one wants to be. Being a reflection of what somebody else wants. Being a "mummy's boy". Not having the free will of one's own. Living the unlived life of the parents. Squashed individuality. Letting down the side.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with travelling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

symbols_saturn.jpg Saturn is on Sagittarius 1: RETIRED ARMY VETERANS GATHER TO REAWAKEN OLD MEMORIES

The Symbol shows reunions and gathering together with people who have shared histories, struggles or issues. A reunion can ignite feelings of camaraderie, companionship and triumph, sometimes along with great passions. As these are “Retired Army Veterans”, it's through the passing of time and with the hindsight of age that many things can be faced, healed and laid to rest. In going over the memories of 'old battles' you may find the clues for current ones. However, this degree can show going over and over old hurts, injuries, diseases, etc. The trick also is not to see others as the ‘enemy’, but rather see in everyone the possibility of friendship.

Keywords: Masculine domains. Understanding the individual's needs and idealistic struggles. Moratoriums and calls for peace. Past life memories of fellowship. Prisoners of war. Memorials to war. Bringing up painful memories in the hope of sharing understanding and healing. Tears of the past. Being confronted by memories. School, and other, reunions. Talking over strategies. Finding comrades. Brothers and sisters.

The Caution: Being unable to let go of the past. Exaggerating past successes to justify current strategies. Excluding others as being "unworthy", having not experienced the struggle or pain. Going over things from the past and never letting them go. Boasting and glorifying. Identities that belong in the past.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, ageing, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

symbols_uranus.jpg Uranus is on Aries 20: A YOUNG PERSON FEEDING BIRDS IN WINTER

This Symbol shows the ability to help those in need of help, to provide safety, security, nourishment or emotional support, especially to those who may not know how to solve their problems themselves. There are those that stubbornly resist moving on or changing their habits, even if it is to their detriment, and providing them with a safe harbour can bring many rewards. This is about sharing and caring. Non judgmental attitudes can move you to help them and lead them to trust. A dedication to helping others has its own rewards.

Keywords: Nurturing innocence. Feeding energy to situations that feel cold, hopeless and lost. Small efforts bringing their rewards. Co-dependent relationships. Nurturing. Helping those less fortunate or smaller. Taking time out for others. Doing things without thought of reward. Enjoying nature. Trying to find friends or company. Bread and water. Soup kitchens. Counselling. Hot vs. cold weather.

The Caution: Wanting to win approval. Creating dependence with others that has to be maintained. Feeling bleak, lost and alone. The need to continually rescue others. Doing anything in order to be liked. Finding it difficult to stop giving. Not being able to say "no". Feeling used and unrewarded.

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

symbols_neptune.jpgNeptune is on Pisces 8: A GIRL BLOWING A BUGLE

This shows sounding the call, rallying people together, knowing when to speak or “Blow a Bugle” to awaken others, to wake up to realities going on in the world, join some cause, etc. Perhaps you feel the need to wake up those around you, or, perhaps be woken yourself. When situations get bogged down in emotional or rational complexity and everyone just needs to be rallying and going for the objective, you may be the one to let everyone know. Sometimes this Symbol can show someone who makes a lot of noise; justified or unjustified and they can get people moving. Using simple, receptive innocence will get situations back on track.

Keywords: Sounding the call. Awakening all to action. Going on and on about something. Loudspeakers, telephones, announcements. Being prepared to state one's case. Calling attention to one's self. Blowing your own trumpet. Whistle-blowers. Heralding and proclaiming the dawn. Rise and shine! Girls in a man's world. Leading the charge. Resurrection. Mass announcements. Advertising campaigns. Alarm clocks. Ear plugs. Blind folds. Break the fast. Proclamations.

The Caution: Making unwarranted and disturbing noise. Showing off. Unbalanced messages. Evangelists and politicians. Sounding the call but not making the grade. Being annoying. Trumpeting about one's achievements. Not listening to people.

Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, "out there," spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.

This degree shows being able to focus thoughts, meditate, or to find your center. The “Fire Worshipper” can be intensely interested or passionate about something, throwing them selves into the middle of something, getting as much out of the experience, event or study as they can. You are likely to find yourself very focused, with a great passion for something that really ignites your interest. There could be a sense of danger in some respects, but also a sense of new beginnings. Harnessing your personal resources, particularly your rich inner life, can create magic. Look through appearances to get to the heart of matters.

Keywords: Self-conquest. Kundalini energy. Playing with dangerous elements to reach a higher state of being. Philosophy. The stories of our lives. Examining life and its meaning. The buzz of being alive. Questions of our very existence. Finding the reasons behind everything. Contemplation and meditation. Incense. The hypnotic spell that fire can cast. Staring into the flames. Throwing oneself into the deep end. The search for core truths.

The Caution: Overestimation of personal power and abilities. Obsession to the point of self-obliteration. Being intense. Going too deeply. Exhausting oneself. Excluding family and friends because of philosophical or spiritual convictions. Not seeing the woods for the trees.

Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one's power. Being king or queen of one's underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy.

symbols_chiron.jpgChiron is on Pisces 19: A MASTER INSTRUCTING HIS DISCIPLE

This shows the ability, or the need, to be a student, a “Disciple”, or a teacher, a “Master”. At times you’ll find yourself being either one or the other. You may be the teacher or the pupil, but remember that it is often the teacher that learns and the pupil that teaches. This shows taking time for the transfer of higher knowledge and wisdom. It’s also a sign to listen to your own higher wisdom. Someone with something worthwhile to say will usually find someone eager to listen. When you have a need to learn something, it seems that the “Master” will always appear.

Keywords: To give and to receive. Lessons that need to be well learnt. The transfer of knowledge. Taking time to instruct others. Being willing to both teach and learn. Step-by-step lessons. Passing on information. Instructions and directions. Laying down the law with someone. Manuscripts and lessons. Masters. Gurus. Guiding lights. Reinforcement of knowledge, wisdom and spirituality. Listening and learning. Knowing what questions to ask. Doing homework. Being or setting a good example.

The Caution: Dogmatic instruction by rote. Talking down to others, thinking they know less. Someone having a "know it all" attitude. Manipulating people for one's personal agenda. Using knowledge as power over people. Feeling above everyone else. Co-dependant behaviour. One-eyed attitudes. Losing oneself in another.

Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds and it is known as The Wounded Healer, it also shows The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.

symbols_north_node.jpg North Node is on Libra 2: THE LIGHT OF THE SIXTH RACE TRANSMUTED TO THE SEVENTH

This wonderful Symbol shows a time of new beginnings with an implementation of a brand new order. Often, this shows people being interested in attaining spiritual transformation and attainment. As you change and grow there’s a need to respect the value of what is waning, and to take the best qualities with you into your future. This often shows being within reach of your ultimate potential. Some aspects of society are left behind for a higher, more evolved state. Ascension to a higher order is pictured, but there is a need to remain rooted in the reality of practicality, lest one loses one's way.

Keywords: Younger or more vital elements taking over from the elders. The fruits of the new age. Theosophy—Blavatsky's theories. Finding kindred spirits. Sharing visions. Ascension and evolution. Inheritances that move one forward. Growing older and wiser. UFO's and aliens. Music that lifts one's spirits. Gurus and avatars. Demarcations of evolution. Transmutations. Indigo children. Evolving.

The Caution: Losing touch with practical survival. Can be racial (or other) discrimination. Feeling that one is from a "higher" order (or more evolved) than other people. Leaving others behind.

North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a 'karmic point' (although all planets and points in a chart can be'karmic'). One's destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.

South Node is on Aries 2

This Symbol shows that an objective awareness of oneself and others can bring light relief to you and those around you. We often need to be reminded that we are essentially human and share the same imperfections, frailties and shortcomings as the next person. See the humor and joy in situations - positive reactions can be an escape route from difficulties through seeing the funny side. Group cohesion and joy can come through sharing fun and being able to laugh and joke is an important part of life.

Keywords: Seeing the funny side. Having insights. Always being on the 'go' mentally. Putting on a show for others. Having presence and charisma. Being the life of the party. Banter. Cracking up with laughter. Ragging each other. Humorous interplay. Saying what the group wants to hear. Jokes. The buffoon. Inside jokes. The jester.

Being flippant and insincere. Not being amused. Demanding the spotlight. Feeling responsible for how others feel. Not knowing when to stop. Not having good boundaries.

South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.

Hi Lynda,

I had so many deep revelations and Release of some very deep Karmic issues/pain. Feeling wonderful now :) Your insights helped me put it all together. Thank you :smitten:

faye 4th October 2015 8:46 pm

Interesting about the nine months thing and the eclipse. On the morning of Sept 27 at 4am I woke from a dream of giving birth to a girl. Her name was Analise.
I was alone until the head came out and a friend showed up to help. I have never been pregnant so have no reference point for this. Any thoughts? Thank-you for your posts.
