4th June 2013: Moon in Taurus & Its Cosmic Colleagues

Treasures in the Basement

This afternoon (15:55 GMT) the Moon enters Taurus for two and a half days. Generally speaking a Taurus Moon is seen as fairly stubborn and uncomfortable with change, but this particular Moon has a whole other quality to it thanks to an alliance with Mars, Saturn and Venus. Yes it still radiates a solid, earthy quality, but there’s more flexibility in there and an ability to shift the focus of that practical earthiness as necessary, making it an efficient and productive Moon.

Mars in Gemini has a particular influence here, enabling us to skim the surface of life when necessary without getting too deeply drawn into things until a priority comes along, at which point Saturn in Scorpio takes over to get to the bottom of something and deal with it fully, leaving no stone unturned. Once done, Venus in Cancer pats us on the back, encouraging us to bask in that pleasant feeling of a job well done, before the cycle begins again. And all the while the Taurus Moon underpins this process, reminding us that commitment and dedication to dealing with the stuff of life rather than avoiding or denying it is, in the long run, the only way to make any kind of progress worth having.

At the same time Neptune in Pisces reminds us that the everyday concerns of our lives can sometimes become a distraction from something greater and more vital to our existence. It’s all a matter of balance: a recognition that, yes, there are a number of things we must continue to juggle effectively in our lives, but there are usually a few we can just let go and release. Sometimes keeping all the balls in the air becomes a habit rather than a necessity, preventing us from picking up something new which has the potential to revitalise our everyday experience and introduce an element of surprise and delight into our lives.

Throughout this month we will be encouraged to clear out the old and stale aspects of our lives to make way for the new. But in the next few days this encouragement has a particular urgency about it, exhorting us to clear out the cobwebs and dank, dusty corners of our minds, hearts and lives to let some daylight in. When we do this who knows what we’ll find? It’s often in clearing out a junk-filled basement that we discover an old family treasure covered in dust and unrecognisable until it’s cleaned up and polished. We have just such treasures within us, hidden in the shadows, never seeing the light of day. It could be an interest we can never find the time to pursue, a talent we’ve not indulged for a long time, an old friendship we’d love to rekindle.

This week the cosmos supports us in clearing out the old to find the bits we want to keep and nurture. It reminds us that time and energy are precious commodities, and the more we respect their value the more of them we will have at our disposal, until we recognise that time and energy invested in the things that bring us joy will forever bless us with yet more of the same: more time, more energy, more joy.

May it be so!

Love to everyone,

Sarah Varcas

Sarah, you have a wonderful ability to make ideas that could be abstract and inaccessible, beautifully accessible. I'm so grateful for your presence on SL.

I must have been feeling these energies already yesterday, continuing somewhat today. Can't remember feeling so dense, heavy, and innert in quite a while. Surely I'm uncovering treasures!

Reading your articles yesterday, particularly the Venus influence on Sunday, I was reminded of the gorgeous few minutes I spent Saturday night while lying in bed. Suddenly I was visited by (wasn't actively seeking this) the sweetest energy, so palpable I could actually see it in the air around me in almost crystalline structures.

I wondered at the time if it was as aspect of Welty, whom I'd been connecting with, or some lovely gift one of you who'd been posting had sent to me. Wherever it came from, thank you!!

Love and blessings to all of you.

Thankyou Sarah for your dedication - a voice of sanity that doesn't feel very far away

I love the uncovering treasures.
And Kay, I know you know this, there is no more seeking. It is ALL here, now. When we are aligned and in relaxed awareness we receive it. As you spoke of crystalline structures, I immediately thought of one of the 12 Rays. Imprinted Crystal Light is the Ray of Divine Order. I am having some syncronization with it now.

Sarah, I've been sweeping the cobwebs out of my head, there's not much left in there. Don't know if that's a good thing :)

Kay, I can't claim credit for that sweet energy (you know me too well) but I did send you a t-shirt that says " If you play with me, you play with FIRE!" (couldn't resist)

Betsy, in regard to your previous post, here's a quote by Kahlil Gibran...."Your pain is the breaking of the shell which encloses your understanding". Have a wonder-filled day.

You guys know how to lighten a soul!

Beautiful, Cyndy. Ray of Divine Order. I needed reminding that what's going on with me is all in divine order. Thank you for that.

The t-shirt is a perfect fit, Shapeshifter. Made me laugh out loud. What could be more healing? I don't have anything clever to say about cobwebs, but good for you, and thank you. Every cobweb any of us clears out benefits the rest of us.

Betsy, also in regard to a previous post, I love the quote "If you want magic, let go of your armor. Magic is so much stronger than steel!" I feel as if I'm doing that here. You're in good company with Sanat Kumara and Michael. The way I see it is that they're all higher aspects of ourselves, so I call on my Michael self, my Ariel self, etc. My Gabriel self and my Kuan Yin self helped me teach and love the little buggers. By the way, I heard that "y'all"!

So fun...
Cyndy, Thank you for the information about Imprinted Crystal Light - Ray of Divine Order. Thank you for the reminder of Divine Order.
Shapeshifter, Thank you for the quote. An image of a baby chick emerging from its egg came to mind while reading that. Thank you for sharing that.
Kay, I agree that it's so true that many of us are doing that here - vulnerability, openness, love. I'm really not very good at it & am only just beginning; but, it's important to me, so I intend to get good at it. LOL. I never thought of AAM, Sanat Kumara, the wonderful light beings we channel as being higher aspects of ourselves, but that would make sense. Thank you for that. And the "y'all?" So? :coolsmiley ROFL
Much love to all of you!

I just googled 12 rays and what I learned from my mentor is quite different then those that "googled" up. I have to admit I resonate with the what I learned from my mentor.
They are enormously powerful for me. On this Sat. at Lightsmith, Mother Mary will be hosted and working with 2 rays. Ray of Divine Will- pale shimmering blue and Ray of Divine Delight-sparkling light gold. I have not a clue why I am telling you this!?! It's also fine if I am just talking to myself.

Hello Shapeshifter :)

Sarah, I've been sweeping the cobwebs out of my head, there's not much left in there. Don't know if that's a good thing

Funnily enough, when I wrote about Jupiter's final few months in Gemini I titled the article 'It's Time to be Out of Our Minds'. Jupiter leaves Gemini at the end of June, so clearing out the final cobwebs in there is precisely where you should be at this point :)

Sarah Varcas 5th June 2013 3:44 am

I love the uncovering treasures.

Me too Cyndy... especially the surprise ones you just had absolutely no idea were there :)

Sarah Varcas 5th June 2013 3:46 am

Beautiful. Thank you, Sarah

Always a pleasure Betsy! xx
